Lessons in Christ Consciousness: Luke 10 17

we appreciate you joining us especially you know those of you who are guests um you you may be here going i just heard that there is a unity of sedona you might be here thinking you know or saw the sign outside or a friend might have said there's a nice center honestly it's it's it's not like anything else um really it's a spiritual center it's not a church and this spiritual center shares love light wisdom primarily what i call what we call christ consciousness not christ consciousness as in churchy

or christianity christ consciousness it's the same as what krishna talked about what yogananda said the highest consciousness you can achieve is christ consciousness these people weren't lying it's true how could you attain something higher than god and christ is the name as ernest holm said of the name of god in us so we're here to attain achieve christ consciousness but also also to live it you know to bring it forward and you know you find christ consciousness in in the teachings of jesus clearly

he's the embodiment of christ consciousness it's a really unique being jesus on so many levels because he came into the world and said so tell me of everybody tell me about your your your path towards god tell me what the highest is tell me your stories about how you've gotten here and where you're going and he's hearing people talk in india and egypt and so on and he's hearing about the mythologies of how for the pagans the light comes back and brings you know the sun comes back and

brings the light of god in life to the people and they celebrate it even in the darkest days they're celebrating the birth of the light and the romans had that concept too uh the jews had their concept of a coming messiah and so on and so on and he says well guess what i'm going to be that to all of you i'm going to embody the the horus for the egyptians or in some ways osiris i'm going to be the odin or the thor i'm gonna be whatever i'm gonna embody all that's that's a huge statement

i'm gonna be the one that been has been predicted that will be killed so that i can come back to life and show you how is that not the sun going down in the winter and coming back it's it's living the drama in a true sense i'm going to show you how you're never alone in winter you still have the christmas tree because it symbolizes life in a dark time and so he's saying that's not just a tree it's me it's you it's us the light of god is always here so he goes and embodies it that's no

simple task to embody all consciousness the stories of all darkness of how people will try to beat you up when you're too spiritual so he does that how you can still come out of it after a divorce after deaths you can still resurrect he's showing you the the how how past lives play a role in our development today and how people past lives repeat you know themselves basically destiny you know is like this history repeating itself so he shows you know john the baptist was elijah he was put to death before

and he's put to death again you know they tried to kill him before i should say but they got him as john the baptist he came back and he was beheaded because of the threats when he was elijah so all this is there this wisdom is there but coming into the world and embodying it and he says to his apostles hey you know what when they say i want to be more like you he says i don't i don't have a place to rest my head at night i don't have anything on this planet that i own or that owns me i live in the moment day by day that

doesn't mean we're all supposed to live homelessly but he's saying you say you want to follow my path be careful because this takes non-attachment to a whole new level you know it's like he's saying you know you you you folks have you you go ahead and have your families have each other i have only the will of god and it's to teach the will of god while i'm here and i will go and when i go some of you are going to be upset but you need not be upset because you're supposed to learn

to embody what i taught you and if i hang around too long you won't do that you'll keep looking at me then we have a religion again and he didn't want a religion per se he wanted people to live the christ life i've always called it i think it was my very first talk i've ever done i called it living the christ life you know and people were like that sounds kind of arrogant oh whatever how could it be arrogant when it's who we are it's our destiny you know so i get up there and wow and that became a

theme for me throughout all my years teaching living the christ life because that's applicable it's not theories about it's not theology around you know it's not lecturing it's this is who we are and here are some examples of how to live that on a day-to-day basis you know the clumsy tripping now and again living the christ life with with relationships with jobs sexuality all the human stuff sickness how do you live the christ life it doesn't mean you wear a white robe you wander you know in sandals and

literally live the jesus that's living the jesus life it's different it's wherever you are doing it your particular way and you know i was sharing a little bit from last the last week or so a little bit of the gospel of luke i'll do a few more chapters of that just briefly but i i'm explaining that when i go and share a few chapters from the vedas or upanishads or the gita or the bible it's not like meaning to preach out of a book per se it's just accessing something that has that christ wisdom

the the teachings of jesus are filled with christ consciousness but even his students his primary students called the apostles and even disciples to various degrees they attained christ consciousness whether it's mother mary mary magdalene the apostle male you know apostles they all got it to some degree and you can tell any of the apostles read and you'll go that wisdom is as good as any wisdom of christ because christ is christ you know some of us are thinking the apostles that that's kind of where

religion started being built christianity they sometimes say is more paulism than christ consciousness see so so the apostles sometimes you know and they they sometimes said some off things you can tell when it's not loving but but the apostles did embody it there's moments where i go that that is a jesus consciousness that's a christ conscience as well and it could be paul or peter or matthew whomever it's they've all got it but you can tell in the acts of the apostles that that's when they study they now

they're teaching and jesus as i said they're teaching and you can you can tell there's moments when they're still being human but you know what's cool about it one of them says all the things that i know i should be doing i don't do and things i should be avoiding those things i do that's honesty that's like a dude in recovery i mean he's just like straightforward with it hi my name is such and such i'm an apostle and i'm in recovery i'm in a recur i'm in a 12 steps from

being human group and i still mess up gosh i got this addiction to doing stupid things sometimes you know things i i just know i probably shouldn't do that and i do them anyway it's so beautiful so i don't discount and i in fact incorporate and love their humanness their honesty about their humanness you know jesus gave advice to his students before his departure he gave advice to his students and in luke we find where he's saying you know if you want to be a student of mine you've got to del you

got to learn to deny yourself now there's a reason he's saying you got to deny yourself because if you try to save your life you will lose your life but if you lose your life you will save your life and people are like well wow that's kind of trippy you know what's he talking about they're very eastern mystic kind of straight statement so he says what good does it do to save your life and lose your soul what he's talking about is simply the metaphor if you try to save your life meaning if you try to invest too much in

your material self you will lose sight of your spiritual self and if you focus on your spiritual self you'll release this one which one do you want now the good news is you can have both but there's only one way to do it right spiritual priorities and then still live your human life you will not pull it off being all focused on materialism hoping that your spiritual will come through the focus has to be on our spiritual self think about the idea of of even prayers the average prayers are money house job health whatever they're

material oriented that doesn't make us bad but it basically speaks to us coming from constant human self very few people really know how to shift into spiritual priority when they're when they're praying meditations often you go to schools or you go to spiritual centers and they go we're going to do a meditation picture yourself walking by a stream you can hear the water and the birds and there's a there's a little hope chest there and you open it there's a gift of it's still it's called visualization

that is not meditation it's good for you but don't call it meditation because when i'm walking along the stream and i'm feeling my muscles relax and i open a hope chest and oh an image of my next love my twin soul whatever that that is still focused on this world meditation by definition has to have god involved so that's called visualization visualization is helpful to lead you into deeper meditations but if all you did was walk by a stream and open a box to be able to see something you want in

your material life it's not technically meditation so what you could do is after all that wonderful visual you could end it with and then close your eyes and imagine that you are those things that's a little closer to a meditation bring it here and make it about consciousness and realize this is the will of god this is the consciousness of god bring god into it somehow so we're we have this penchant for material things and jesus is saying the more you focus on the material you will lose your life and he means the focus you will lose

sight of your spiritual self so be careful when you pray and watch what you're praying for you're allowed to pray for health and healing and prosperity and all that it's fine but is your priority god if you get seek first the kingdom or the consciousness of god the rest will come but humans go well just in case that's not true let me make sure i outline all the things i want you know it's just silliness so i shared last week and reiterating once more those who came to jesus and said i want to be one of your followers and

this is why he started talking like this saying you want to be one of my followers really you don't even know what you're asking for i i michael have had people say would you be my mentor you have no idea what you're asking for jesus can we be your followers sure sure let's go oh well wait let me go home first and make sure i've signed the right documents and told my wife that i'm leaving and explain it to my children jesus says then go home bye well that dude's harsh wow that guy he's not very compassionate

he is but he's making a point you say you want to have a spiritual priority but you keep praying for stuff you say you want to walk the christ life you say you want to be an apostle or disciple or student of christ consciousness but you keep making your material world life a priority so he says let the dead bury the dead well i just got to go home and and make sure i made arrangements because my father just passed away one of these guys says and jesus says let the dead bury the dead just right between the eyes man

bam forehead you know two by four and so that guy's you know that guy's going to go home and think about that he's not really a follower of jesus a student of jesus he's talking the talk but he's not living it now living it can be quite a challenge living the christ can be quite a challenge i do this as best i can every day and it's a little bit you know because my mind is constantly on the right thing and clarity and i really i mean anybody could say anything they'd like about me and it's because they

don't know me if it's negative if they knew how much i put into the christ consciousness thing they would be quiet because i really do if i have a flaw it wouldn't be what they say it would be how much i put into this how hard i work at this i mean i don't walk around with constant mantras but it's like that i mean if i see something on the tv i'm i'm asking how to see this thing differently i you know relationship i ask is this what i should be doing i don't just do things compulsively

so you know living the christ life you become a drag to people you know you can't just go to a movie it turns me you know what am i going to look at neediness in movies murder mysteries none of them do anything for me i watch cartoons and spiritual movies that's almost all you know my favorite i just discovered peter rabbit great great movie man god that's wonderful just found it and i've already watched it 10 times um you know but i have people going what you're watching peter wrap you know what

do you expect you know the the greatest story ever told you know i watch all those beautiful spiritual movies but i like something with meaning just like music i can't just listen to music and pop music i i like something that either has something musically in it that's intriguing music you know the melody or whatever but the lyrics oh my god messages i'm like oh wow you know what they just said so i was always like the song the voice by the moody blues you know it's it's so obviously the voice within

god you know so i love that sort of thing but you know to be around me as a high school kid i go to parties and i'm like shut this stuff off you know like music that they want to play it's just like you know movies people want to watch so i understand i'm a drag to be around based on human standards i don't mind i mean you know i just hang out with you guys and we laugh and do whatever but but i understand that that's partly what jesus was saying to you and me when you the more you start it's like a pyramid

the more you go for that peak the less there is there are less rocks and and and you know the building blocks of the pyramid the less there are less people to date you know you'd think it'd be easy for the number of people i've met in my life i should have dated a thousand times why is it so lean because you know my consciousness has to everything has to be lined up just right so it's an interesting thing when you get on that path you know moving up or there's less less movies less music that you'll settle for

you know your consciousness is just going like this you're not investing as much here gain your life and lose your old life and that's part of the meaning lose your old life the you know oh my my family i probably shouldn't be a spiritual teacher because they said i should be doing another kind of a job that's living this life which loses this life so that's another example of what i'm jokingly saying what a dragon because even family they're like what a drag he is he won't do what we're telling him to

do you know and i tried i tried to go to these jobs you know i tried for a day and a half to trim trees with a landscape company i tried for and i'm like i want to be a florist they're like you can't right well we can't explain that to you but no it's probably not a good job for you why the colors and the scent see i'm like oh my god you know i'm all like excited and they're like there's something wrong with him you know they wanted me to be in in construction you know it's just

yep how you doing guys doing there you know the hand on the holster on the hammer you know and and there's nothing wrong with it i'm just saying i wouldn't be good at that you know it's not my thing every career job trade and all that is wonderful for the right people but that wasn't me and i mean when i got out of high school people were like oh it's exciting i felt terror because i had no idea what i could do what i would do and i only knew that i liked people and that's what i told the career counselors i

don't know i just like people and they're going well there's not a lot of money in that that's what they told me maybe you'll be a social worker i go no it doesn't seem right my godmother she was a wonderful spiritual woman she said you know michael i see you like because she still thought linear she goes i see you as like a paramedic you're like a healer and but she then put it in literal terms you know material terms a doctor yeah that ain't gonna happen you know i can't even

you know add five plus five and you want me to do the the the work that it would take to become a doctor no academic interest or background so it's like well terror you know what am i going to do but i just god i don't know and you and i don't always hear it's going to be fine michael because i have an idea for you there is no such thing as spiritual teacher so it when god was saying michael guess what i have a career for you spiritual teacher you know what i couldn't hear it you know why because it

didn't exist you can't hear things that don't seem familiar to you it's challenging to hear those kinds of things because they don't exist so when you're hearing it your mind blocks it and filters it because there's no such thing you have to be open to something else so when those hints are coming and i had psychics at psychic fairs where i would go and do oral work and all that psychics would go you know excuse me because i was you know 20 and they'd go you're going to be a major you

know and going i know when god i got to pay rent you know i had a child by this time i think when i was 20. i mean how do i pay the bills adding more and more pressure it's going to come together but what you think linearly it can be it may not fall into that category and that's scary for us so one person's throwing out a word like paramedic that didn't click but it was close healer so for you it's the same thing you might be a spiritual counselor but you might have studied to be a psychiatrist

you're close it's still with people healing in the mind but you might make a few adjustments there's always a way but when and how that's that's obviously the rub that's the challenge for us so so when people say to me you know oh i i want to be i want you to be a mentor no offense to those of you who have asked would you be a mentor i'd like to hire you as my no i'm not available i'm not available at almost at all for romance partnership i'm not available for much parenting i see my kids like once every

few years and they know you know when they say hey we're going to come and visit no no no it's okay because i'm working and this is almost all that i do so when people want to you know would you be a mentor hired mentor i'll pay you well no it's not the money there's no room for anything else but this teaching that i do so i tell them watch the programs no no but can i have one-on-one no no you can't not romantically don't even try to have me adopt you as a child because you're

still neglected because this is what i do my kids get the humor of all this by the way it's not like they're like oh that counselor's going my father won't talk to me um you know um you know they don't they they get it they totally get it and they do somewhat the same thing in their own way in their own lives so those who say you know i would like you to be this and i say you have no idea what you're could michael you're interested in the partnership would you be a lover no you have no idea what you're asking for so

it takes a lot for somebody i have to get to know you and you need to get to know me and know how odd this is going to be you know whatever we're going to do friends or whatever it's going to be you have no idea how peculiar this is going to be you have to have a really solid sense of self-esteem to be around me because i'm working i'm busy i won't call as much as you'd like i want whatever this is what i do so you find your soul's purpose and you'll understand more and more your soul's

purpose becomes your first love and that sounds crazy to some people it's amazing because you realize my first love is god being of service and fulfilling my soul's purpose is my taking the love for god into the third dimension and then it all comes together well what about the rest the rest is fine over here as a secondary thing so try that send a card to somebody on valentine's day and say you're the best second thing i've ever had you're the most wonderful second priority one can imagine

and they oh god i feel warm and say no they want you to put them above god itself and your soul's purpose because that's neediness and that's this world that's why jesus was a little peculiar when it came to things like that and it doesn't mean you have to do it his way or my way just to some degree your way make god and your soul's purpose your priority so there's a part where jesus says it's uh in in luke 10 ish where he's teaching these multitudes of people and he says to them i'm going to send

you out now you guys have heard me teach i'm now anointing you and i'm sending you out whoa this is scary don't take anything with you don't take luggage don't take your credit cards he's teaching them faith but he's also saying and i said this last week don't take anything of the past go into your new life a completely new person which is going to take some adapting so it's a training that he's putting them through so he says and one thing i want you to do anytime you walk

into a house a spiritual center a theater a store enter with a thought that says peace to you and this place to all the people there command the peaceful presence of god to that place he says if they appreciate it if they they can feel it they can welcome it great then soak it in because you've you've brought the gift of god somewhere if they reject it just shake the dust off and leave that place and that has a you know a major metaphor there to it but you know he says be polite what they give you eat that drink that whatever be

polite bridge with the people meet him at their level don't forget this as a training for you and i that when we go into a place and they say well we're practicing such and such as really tell me more about that you know don't shame them for their beliefs their religions just wow that's great find ways to find commonality to people i've been god every you know traveling on planes and strike up a conversation and one of the oddest most awkward stories once i was writing a book uh when i was writing one of the books

and it was on sacred sexuality and i remember i'm sitting there and i'm just minding my own business i'm on the window seat and i'm you know scribbling notes and all that and editing the book and this gentleman sits next to me and i can tell he's kind of looking and but i'm busy and i'm busy finally i look up and it's an acidic rabbi yeah and i was like oh my god i hope this isn't offensive to him you know so i have to now look at as i'm writing this i have to look at what it

triggers in me and others so that i can incorporate that somehow and bring the healing of that into the book right so it was wonderful and next thing i know he's he's like a lead person in this in that particular world he's like a head leader and uh but here he is inviting me come to my home you know i would like you to meet my children and there that shows the healing right then one moment there's a tension is this appropriate am i okay but it's also my checking in that this topic is okay to

talk about write about and it was proven yes michael here's proof welcome to my home you follow what i'm saying there so you watch life you watch the world how it mirrors our wrestling and our struggles and our resolutions so what what an honor but bridging and i was you know and i started then you know talking to him and i sat with a a leader of the east coast of a particular church i think it was um maybe presbyterian or something and he was whatever the religion was i don't remember but i remember i said

tell me more about your religion see it was great you know it was beautiful and bridging as though i because i truly am interested what is your faith what do you believe can you tell me about that you know and it was a profound conversation meet people where they are don't don't show them how you differ show them how you're there and you hear them and you're with them this is a profound statement here this isn't like just a curiosity or a suggestion this is one of the ways we demonstrate the presence of god to care

about people and you know and he's telling me about his and he says you know uh you know we have some problems you know i'm the reason i'm going to a council with with several of the other leaders from the country in our particular church he said we have some churches that will not allow other colors and i'm like wait what seriously he goes yeah and we tell them you need to allow various colors into the church and they said no i go shut them down buy some chain and a lock and go shut them down i'm like see

make a statement to those people no you're allowed to say no as a parent and whatever else you do in this world sometimes the christ life is to say no to certain behaviors he's oh we can't do that and i watched other leaders of spiritual centers use those words oh we can't because then we'll lose those that are giving us the money well lose the money then have a tent of nice people instead of a building with psychopaths you know like do it differently show them be a leader make a difference anyway that doesn't

usually go over well so you know seriously like so then jesus says when you're when you're bringing the light those who reject you are rejecting me and if they're rejecting me they're rejecting the father mother god that's where he's teaching us about mirroring see that's where he's saying everything's connected when you bring peace into a place and people get all fired up and hate you or reject you for your beauty or peace they're fighting with god not you don't take it personally

you should almost feel more like sad for them because this is how they feel about god when you walk in and say you know why don't we talk about this there's an argument you go into a family argument and you say hey mom you know dad whatever why don't we look at it this way oh mind your own business this is what they're saying i'm serious what they're saying to god we hate you mind your own business you've ruined our lives this is how they feel about god and themselves they're just acting it out on you

you don't want to be any part of that then simply take some of the tools off your tool belt say god i only want to be around nice people and do my work i don't want to transform people i don't want to drop seeds of life and light i only want to play it safe you might get that kind of an assignment but you and i we grow by working those muscles patience forgiveness not taking things personally for me when i've walked into situations like that the thing that kept me the most sane was accessing it's not me

if michael walks into a family argument and i haven't seen you know family in like whatever 20 years the old family but the last time i saw them i walked in and they were having one of their usual screaming matches but when i walked in i was like hey guys how you doing there i'm done you know that's how they respond to me walking it you know and i'm like how's everybody you know and they're arguing what's going on oh he thinks and he thinks and they're arguing i go well i think what

you're trying to say is this that's right and you're trying to say is this that's right so there you go and they're like oh okay they didn't say well michael made a difference they won't even notice you if your self-esteem needs to be acknowledged for everything you do as an act of god you're in the wrong work you should be excited about all of it look there's peace there and i'm just smiling i feel like this i'm not bouncing but that's why i felt i'm walking in hey guys how's it going right

now my friend i'm like who cares man this is great i know where this is going doing this work it's to say the least it's surreal because jesus is warning those who reject you are rejecting me and they will sometimes reject you because of their own stuff their own triggers their own attitudes and feelings about god and themselves so you know you bring in peace peace to the places you're going peace be with you you walk into a hospital every nurse with every client in their mind peace be with you every

doctor every surgeon peace be with you every social worker every mommy and daddy to the children in the morning peace anchor it in i'm a bridge peace is god and so when i say peace be with you i'm saying peace which is god in me now and with you you're bridging you're bringing that you're channeling that through as a decree as an affirmation as a demand basically a healthy loving demand there's so much going on i know and peace be with you you don't have to always say it there you go by what you're guided to do

and sometimes the words come out sometimes they don't they're not necessary so jesus then goes into a he's invited um at times he's invited to the homes of pharisees and sometimes that goes a little strange you know one of the times he's uh he casts out some demons and the pharisees are saying look at him you know how he's doing that he's accessing evil powers and jesus is like because he can always read minds he's like you got to be kidding me why would evil powers cast out demons

it doesn't make any sense but evil minds would only be able to see evil powers so when you and i are doing good things remember even if people don't get it when you're coming from the right place you can't be doing evil and it can't be coming from an evil place you know you and i we we do work i mean you you know you might have family members that don't like that you're a psychic oh we think that's of the devil really because the testimonials i get say that i'm changing lives for the

better now not that i would say this out loud but bloody hell mom dad what how many testimonials do you have lately for lives you've changed you're at the grocery store the other day really how many people's lives did you change i'm not to say that but it's the truth those people will condemn you you need to own i'm making a difference if you allow their nagging voices to get to you they're mirroring your own doubts about your work so are you evil are you doing evil think about it well but they're they're from a certain

religion and they say my religion my beliefs are wrong that's them that's their problem houses they're working you know how you know is their belief systems are they turning their lives around are they becoming better more loving people maybe not so they might need to go rethink it do you need to rethink it if you feel like you're making a difference if you feel like you're coming from a place of love you know i think it's wonderful the world is not the type of world that's going to support the light

because the world has been overtaken by darkness ego evil fear so when you come along doing you know the naive oh i'm one with god all it tries to do is beat you up and change your mind back to fear and that's just the way this goes and you can say no so jesus one time goes into a home and you know when the pharisees said things like that he like calls him out on it and he goes into one home and it's the home of martha and mary magdalene and um and they had a brother lazarus so he goes into their home and here's an

interesting thing because he's sitting and teaching and mary is right there let me hear this god first martha is hustling about you know bustling around doing the the duties of the woman of the time they're supposed to serve they're supposed to reply you know replenish cups and all that their servants like so then martha says jesus can't you see what's inappropriate here mary's sitting around lazy look at her she's just sitting there where i'm fulfilling the right duties he says no the right duty is

always god first mary's doing the right thing because she's here experiencing god you're experiencing family duty obligation genetics and that's a statement to you and i say no to the genetics say no to the programming say no to your religious stuff whatever it is up of your upbringing that isn't serving you going higher anything that is still serving you great keep it there incorporated add it let it add fuel to your ascension but the things that are not necessary not real and this is not you got to put yourself

in the time the cut of that custom jesus is saying break the custom of being a servant women that's not allowed and that's why you know the pharisees constantly nagging at him about well you're breaking custom that isn't how we believe that isn't what we do you know and he says no herod you know some of the pharisees that were his friends said you need to leave jerusalem the pharisees are arranging uh to have you killed or the uh herod herod is arranging to have you killed you know and he doesn't run he says tell

that that fox i'm on to him like can you imagine you know you can say anything now you know and and you know you're allowed to say things about leaders then you'd be put to death tell that fox i'm on to him and i'm not leaving and i'm going to continue casting out demons and healing people so tell them to deal with it you know wow you know it's a bit much so i think it's beautiful to think about all the various lessons and and dimensions of lessons that we get from this kind of teaching

this is a person who knows who they are i don't care what the family says i don't care what the tradition says i will do the next right thing always i will do what i am guided to do and what i'm guided to do comes from love and he says to them and the reason you don't like it is because your heart is not in love anymore you know he says to them in one case in in this gospel he says you know you're you you know so well the laws you you know the rules you know the laws but you don't follow them

they start complaining about him healing on the sabbath he says we're in charge we're the co-creators the sabbath is just a day of the week it's remember god on the sabbath yes but every day every second remember god that was a custom given as a good reminder a tradition but when you become the tradition you don't need traditions to guide you and rule you anymore you've become it so now i live god all the time instead of on sunday or saturday for some cultures see you you moved beyond the rule and

you became the reality so they fight with him and you know you're you're doing things you shouldn't be doing and he's saying why it's just fear talking through you so there's a point in by the time you get to luke 11 that's where he you know he's casting out demons they accuse him of things there's this story where he says about the the lamp your body should be like a lamp you know you are the light you're made in god's image and god is the light but you are a spirit spark that's come off

of that original light you are the light of god your your light is just as perfectly pure as god's because it's from the same source but you sparked off of the original fire and now you're a spark and ember that's in the darkness of this world but light a fire where you go in a positive sense light a fire where you go bring warmth and light to people and their lives it's just beautiful the way he brings things like this but he says let thine eye be single and you will be filled with light now some some people

take the bible and they go and they go that doesn't make any sense is jesus telling us to walk around i'm a christian because i only have one single eye that's not what he's saying let thine eye be single means don't rely on duality eyes open this eye your spiritual life the god eye the god i am there's all this great metaphor to that open the third eye and you will be filled with light that's exactly what happens the pituitary and the pineal glands here when they awaken they start dancing and

singing together and when they do that they're on stage so the lights come on and that's when the the cranial fluid rises the kundalini rises these start activating this opens and your mind is filled with light which is what he says if your eye is single you will be filled with light metaphysical man just totally beautiful he's talking about chakras there in a sense and so on but let your eye be single okay how do i do that don't try to force kundalini and third eye awakening be nice just start off being a nice person

and that is a demonstration of god consciousness you know krsna says something along the same lines where he's going you know if i tell you what it really takes to be enlightened you're going to think it's too difficult so why don't we keep it simple let's start where you are great advice and jesus saying the same thing you know it's you have to you know just your demonstrations of being kind is already going to make a difference it's already you know you can't be wicked and do kind things you the evil

wouldn't cast out demons and also when your actions are kind they must be coming at least rooted in some kind place you might still have ego stuff but it's nice to see that your kindness is showing more and more and more because that's confirming what eyes you're coming from if my eyes that i use are dualistic they're going to see races and genders and rights and wrongs and ups and downs religious superiorities and whatever else these have gone you let them go die of the old self and be born of a new self that's partly what

he's teaching he goes on and i'm going to quote this specifically because this is kind of fun it you know this is where he's like really going to pick on people that are coming from an evil place or a dark place so the pharisees invite him to eat one of the times they invite him to eat and dine with them they noticed one of the pharisees notices and the pharisees symbolize the heady people it's not a culture or religious pharisees i mean it's it's it's an arrogance in anybody and in any culture

in any race in any group science has the pharisedic mind politics has the pharisedic mind and religion has the pharisetic mind they all have this they're standing thinking they're above everyone else and their finding that's essentially what that means they're in their heads you know analyzing nobody is equal to them so he's invited in and this pharisee says you know you know the customs jesus you're supposed to wash your bowls and purify everything and jesus is saying what you need to wash is your insides

it does you no good to cleanse your bowl this is some of the some of you people you know that that you know they do all money padme and boom shakalaka on their rice that they're going to eat and they bless it if you're wicked in here it does you no good to do all your purifications outside so you know and it's a weird thing because there are people that are all into absolute organic foods and the the own symbol on their t-shirt and their major addicts they get their they go with their own shirt over to you

know the grocery store and they grab a six-pack with their own shirt and they go out on the red rocks and you know it's so bizarre to engage in in such a strange contradiction you you cleanse this and that one of the big demographics for places like whole foods are addicts heroin addicts that's a weird one no problem if you're a heroin addict i'm just saying how weird it is i must have salad with my heroine today it's just strange to me it's strange i mean it's just strange like you know dude let it rip man i mean

you know if you're going to do heroin go to taco bell you know it's like no offense to talk about i mean anyway so it's just so strange the way people think so the pharisees are like clear you got to clean that bowl and and they're fault-finding and he's saying you've got to clear your soul you you preach these things so he says to you and me to them don't worry so much about your external life what you will eat or about your body or what you'll wear life is more than just food and clothes

who of you by worrying can add a single day or hour to your life since you cannot do this simple thing of adding more time to your life then don't be afraid these things are inconsequential don't be afraid little flock for your father has been pleased to give you the kingdom the consciousness of god sell your possessions give to the poor provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out they're in here don't just have storehouses of funds and food store up good karma is what he's saying you'll be far better off with vaults of

good karma than you would gold bars and that's where he's talking about treasure in heaven where your treasure is there will your heart be also amazing right store up good karma that's your priority and that's why he also says by the time you get to uh you know around in luke 12-ish you know he's saying you think i've come to bring peace because i'm the messiah the christ or whatever i come as a sword now some people interpret that to mean oh because i'm into christianity or jesus i'm

supposed to cause division no that's not what he meant he wasn't saying i come to bring conflict i am the prince of peace but why did he say i come as a sword he's simply using the metaphor to say i am going to show you the difference between your ego and your soul your spirit i'm here to divide reality and illusion he didn't mean i'm here to divide good people from good people or bad people from bad people okay it's a metaphor often misunderstood then he goes and he's now this is the moment where he's

approaching jerusalem luke 13 and he has a little prayer he says as he stops and he sees the city and remember this isn't a tourist trip he knows he's going there to be crucified not an easy task so he says he says you know um jerusalem jerusalem you know this beautiful place so much rich history with prophets and doing the will of god so many righteous people individuals so much good but why do you keep killing your prophets why do you keep being so afraid of god that if god gets too close in the form of a

prophet you kill them and then what's really strange is when you realize that you killed some that are really righteous you make tombs and you worship them and you you quote them the prophet this and we all love the prophet that oh you mean the one you killed and to me it's it's an interesting story because to me sedona's a lot like that you kill your prophets there's a lot of spiritual teachers that were crucified when they got here some of them are in the room and i'm sorry for what you've gone

through some of these teachers didn't even like me they never knew me but they didn't like me because some of their students came here and they were like oh i'm losing students because they didn't like me but you know what when they were getting crucified i offered them free counseling because i knew what they were going through i would not reject them and say that's what you get for being mean to me brush it off you're being attacked or hurt in some ways let me help and when i offered that help to some of

these people and different teachers my advice was to realize first don't take it personally this is them that do the crucifying they're sick i may or may not agree with your teachings that's not the point the point is hang in there if you can because if you're a teacher counselor healer and you're in this town people think of you as taking their business away because that's lack thinking but if you can endure it and get through the first couple of years it'll all change because you will have

integrated the lessons you will have become what you said you were to a new level and those small minds that attack they're just they're just nags they just you know biting at your heel you know get behind me satan you have to really know who you are to be able to survive this place it's really a strange scenario but those are small minds in small people that are doing that kind of a thing to you so that kind of crucifying teachers you know it's there it happens your test is to say with your family or

this place or anywhere else a lot of what i've shared today is conversations jesus has with pharisees and so on it's not it's really my conversations with myself the pharisees are in here doubters are in here demons are in here there's stories about jesus dealing with them but they're always also a metaphor of how we're dealing with the world and when they crucify you do you ascend well no because i got crucified you're supposed to resurrect oh well nobody told me that i just did now you can't get away with

it so when somebody crucifies you you resurrect but i don't know how start small a little resurrection like well i just went through how just went through divorce i just lost a job but i still know god is with me and there's something better coming that's just a little resurrection start there start somewhere some amount of belief and faith in yourself and god and the ability to hear god's guidance to take you somewhere higher you know not to crumble not to give in so at the end jesus is at one of the pharisees house

house and i love this summary listen to what he's saying to the pharisee this is another one that's kind of complaining that he's not following customs so he says uh i'm going to watch you he notices the pharisees watching him carefully so he can find and nitpick something he doesn't do right so jesus just says look when you give a lunch or a dinner do you invite friends don't you invite friends and you know prestigious people are really great people your friends your relatives brothers sisters and so

on you even sometimes like to invite people you might impress so he's saying this to them and he says you know as the pharisees leaders in this world you often you know you like to get the best seat at the banquet you you know when you're celebrity guys you can show up at a restaurant that's full there's no seats for average people you're a celebrity they'll find you a seat this is what he's pointing out it's not just pharisees it's people that say my name my reputation gets me specialness

here's what he says as soon as you get something special that's all you will receive your acclaim your prestige your money bought you a chair at a restaurant good for you that's all you'll get there's no good karma waiting in the vault of karma so he says you know instead it invite to your house to the lame the blind invite people that feel undeserving and show them they have value then you will be richly blessed this is jesus coming across very buddha-like humble like humanitarian-like and he's telling those people that think

this is the reward is the great stuff i i've shared the story many times but a simple version of it is at a conference once you know i'm a keynote speaker and there's other keynote speakers there's you know half a dozen of us let's say and we're just wonderful we're famous and we're authors and and we're having dinner special of course dinner for just us speakers and we're gathered in so um i liked your talk you know you talked about this and i really loved how you you know and the the gratuitous you

know compliments these you know spiritual leaders of the world will give each other and wow and it was always beautiful all your meditation and it was fifth dimensional it was 18th dimensional and i saw my guides and it's all wonderful and i'm noticing off to the side there's this couple young couple with their child and they just keep looking at us and i'm tuning in what's this about then i get the guidance and i go over hi how are you guys doing he's speaking to us oh my god minions we are and he's and

i'm like well so how's you know this is what really needs to happen so how are you guys oh and we just saw you guys we're like oh my god that's them and wow you know and i say yeah we we we really don't have to eat or drink anything you know but it's to keep us from ascending you know um because we're just holy you can just see the light glowing from the table right this is michael this is michael's kind of a way of doing things and i said would you like to join us you know that's what's supposed to happen

because to them it made a huge difference when you have money you give some to people that it's not just giving to people you perceive to be lacking or poor which is a good thing to do it's i don't do it because of their brokenness i do it to say you have value you absolutely have value i didn't decide that it's the truth of god so jesus is saying why do you keep only working with people that give you the acclaim and esteem like in politics they just do deals with each other they're supposed to be hired in a

position because you trusted them and as soon as they start doing deals where it's well i know my folks wouldn't want me to do this but i'll do that if you give me this i'll give you that deal making it's a very sick hypocrisy that many of them engage in jesus is saying no so so how cool that would be to see some of those senators governors whatever they are out there bring somebody off the street walk them in and say can you give us some advice you know get some off the street like three-dimensional how's it going

you guys are fine you guys all have great you know wives and or husbands and affairs and mistresses and money and you're doing fine you have five boats 18 houses great how do you represent people that don't have anything so jesus is saying you know help them but not because they're lesser help them to know their value that's to me the secret behind it so i invited that couple over they were oh my god oh but our baby it's going to be disruptive i'll stay at your table and hold the baby i said

yeah so i'm you know you know and people are like oh we feel so bad don't don't don't don't bring it up again i told you it's fine you stay at that table oh we'll be right back no you stay there till you're done and i stayed there until i'm done i gained more spiritually by sitting with this child as well as sharing that story with others sitting with this child and holding the baby you know saying even my children don't get this much time for me no i'm kidding um i'm kidding but

but to be able to sit there and the service the love the demonstration that you don't just go on stage and talk it now somebody got to say you know and they probably never forget there's that guy that was talking and that guy was talking and that guy was but that one came over put us at their table took our table and sat with our child so it wouldn't cry hmm that's what it's supposed to look like day-to-day basis give people rides not because you sympathize or you pity them they deserve it

and if you were walking down the street and you didn't have a ride you deserve it as well i know that there are exceptions to the rule in the sense that sometimes you know your your it's not appropriate or right timing for you to pick somebody up because you might feel endangered then don't take care of yourself but generally speaking it's about value i've given you know servers food servers you know an extra tip and they're going why would you give me that much of a tip i use the words because you deserve it

that's what came out of me in those you know moments like that telling people you deserve or i say well why not which gets them to have to think about it right you see what i did there well why wouldn't i why shouldn't i um because deep down what they're saying is i don't deserve and they have to rethink that and i can say well i'll take it back unless you deserve it and they go then more you know oh well let me think about you yeah you know it's okay ask questions to get people to kind of navigate through their ego and

back to god so think about this think about living the christ life the concept of the real mccoy i mean and there's things i might say or do that somebody else might not agree with but for the most part this is how i try my best to live my life and you'll do it in your way i do it in my way each of us is to do it but are you doing it are you even attempting to walk in that light and be a great example of that it's not about well i'm a light worker so i find fault with non-light workers that's not a light worker

how can you bring a difference you know whatever the case may be when they're sad how do you say peace be with you when they're angry peace be how do you become the presence of peace walking into the room and sometimes they'll be grateful and sometimes they'll take shots at you what do you want to do so you could make the commitment i'm going to step up anyway if you're a real sensitive soul i'm i'm fairly sensitive soul so it's not always easy to take hits from people and gossip

and weird things that go on in life and in the world but i've learned being in sedona you know helped did i use the word helped yeah you know isn't that funny you know i was really doing great on my spiritual as a teacher it was really wonderful all the light and sedona helped me really find hell and walk through hercules had to go through hell and all the heroes and mythology they all ended up having to go into hell jesus himself all into hell to cap off their final you know initiations sedona was that for me

put that in your travel brochures welcome to hell do you have issues this is going to magnify them so you don't miss anything you know if you have any doubts lacks fear self-esteem issues boom that just turn up the flame turn up the volume you'll scream you'll cry you'll probably move away and be devastated sometimes resentful you know driving out of sedona to sedona you know you might you might um flip off the place you know you you might have some attitude when you have to deal with this but i will say

cosmo who wrote you know he's put together that the spiritual magazine for sedona now um i've seen him walking through it saying i love this he's going i'm i see sit on and out shifting to a lot more let's say less tolerance of hurtful behaviors like that that people have had for years here and i understand their little games and their little competitions but it's still ego and it's still hurtful behavior and it's still selfish behavior that's this world this is just a magnification of it you like the

vortexes that magnify things it magnifies the garbage of this world but if you can endure it you'll find a lot of really good people sincere people that are wanting to hold light and community so i'm seeing that shift in myself i'm seeing it but also mirroring so many people making a difference here and doing things differently but also i i have said from the beginning when people say to me michael i heard this gossip i say tell your friend that's gossiping to you tell them this they're spreading evil and you don't want to

have anything to do with them till they apologize and make amends not what they said about me they said it to you they're trying to pour evil into your mind call them on it now that sounds intense great it's no different than what jesus would have done get behind me satan you know don't tolerate some of them do it few of them and a lot of them don't well that's my friend good go dine in hell with them go go hang out in that evil conversation because it is a form of evil hateful gossip is a form of evil

and your friend is spreading it you want to embrace that you want to hang with that go do that that's not what i'll have here and in in my life but also unity of sedona at times we've had to say hey none of that here you know people get all triggered by it who's getting triggered in them god or the ego the ego well why am i going to cater to that say no to it be firm you want to walk and live the christ life you want to be the light of the world in this world to be a light to this world you've got to say no to those

things you can just tell that's a darkness and say no to it don't hate it don't hate it don't judge it just see it for what it is and say no forgive them they know not what they do but that doesn't mean and hang with them and do as they do no i am the light of the world and while i'm in the world i will be the light of the world that's jesus's comment so then do it unwaveringly as much as possible unwavering please take a few centering breaths take a half a minute or so first the centering the centering and calming

but then going to half a minute to a minute tuning in to what you learned today this isn't a guy lecturing this is i'm sitting here having an experience of consciousness some of what's being shared is about god consciousness some of it is about the challenges of the ego whatever it is it's all happening within my being i liked what i heard it's i'm growing i don't like what i heard i'm afraid or i'm triggered i need to look at that just own it as your own experience everything in the outer world

is a mirroring of our own consciousness our own processes today's meditation is not only absorb what was right for you it's real for you this is you you say i really got this let it be yours now and then just one more simple visualization which i rarely do in our work here but i do it but today a simple visualization exercise and meditation we're calming we're centering and then hypothetically imagine god comes to you right now in this moment and says when you know you know all the world as it is your life as it is situations

people struggles all the things you know about life and god it says itself comes to you and says right now i'm gonna give you three wishes you have 10 seconds to decide what they are anything name it quietly in your mind see if you can name a few in seconds and then relax your mind and just tune in for a moment i still closed fine but what were your wishes think about what they were they're probably all wonderful beautiful you might say you might have said i don't know that's fine too but you might have

you know healing abolishing you know sexism racism oneness of religions you might have a loved one that's sick and you would wish that they're healed that's beautiful all of them are well intended but were they about something related to this world or were they related to consciousness check in on that you're not bad or wrong that's just human did i seek first the consciousness of god i might have been lofty or world peace but it's still this world maybe i grow even more when i say my wishes would be

to attain christ consciousness instantly to know god's will you know is it more sublime or is it still of this world even though well intended beautiful i i would wish a healing for my niece or nephew i've been asked this question myself you know what would you there's absolutely one of the things that comes to mind uh child abuse ridding the world of child abuse but it's still of this world my favorite answer of all time was the attainment of god consciousness not because it's some distant quest i

mean this is what we're doing here but the instantaneous and complete awareness of it all and to hold that always i'm not claiming that that's grandiose or wonderful or special it's just my favorite that i came up with because i realized with that consciousness everything else changes with consciousness everything changes not actions externally not external things that changes consciousness consciousness changes the external so one day i realized the consciousness is what i choose and i made that my walk and my theme my

ideal my focus and sometimes to me and to others it looks like i'm so serious about it because i think it work it you know i'm in that so much but it is all that really matters so whatever else you might have asked for in your wishes just add now add one more thing but let it be about consciousness and if you look at it when you call it in whatever it is oneness with god whatever it is perfect you know inner peace notice how if you have that it would probably make a difference on the other few things you already named

these are not the things i wish for these are the things i am i exit this meditation owning i am the i am of god is the solution to problems and is the consciousness i go to the i am of god is the i am of myself and i choose to be that which i am truly the presence of love and god the presence of light here and now and so it is
