Dead or Alive?

hi there my name is michael murdad and we're having our beautiful presentations friday night spiritual insights with michael mirdad today what's coming to my mind at this moment is somewhere recently we have uh either edenshire live is a program we do um all week weekdays for everybody wanting to watch it's almost like a daily conference spiritual conference from 11 till around 2 and different hosts and guest speakers and that sort of thing somewhere either on that program or it might have been my course in miracles wednesday night

class we have that as well it's wonderful group but um in one of those i i made a reference to a saying that's very much valued well known and valued in most spiritual traditions the saying is let the dead bury the dead it's a very interesting statement because it means so many things all of which are consistent but so many layers and levels to the the meaning so many applications let the dead bury the dead imagine god whether it's as you know through krishnak as krishna said it jesus because jesus said and so

on however you want to imagine it to be imagine the highest being imaginable says to you my beloved let the dead bury the dead what does it mean if you heard that statement in a dream in a vision in a meditation what would it mean to you and i'd like to propose that what it means includes the following first of all it's not literal let someone who's in a grave bury themselves and of course not so if it's not literal it's what it's symbolic symbol symbolic means and symbolism means many layers and levels

so there's a metaphor so let the dead bury the dead greatly in terms of majority of its meaning it means let those who are not awake let those who live like they're dead let them deal with each other hateful people let them be with each other haters gonna hate as they say let the dead bury the dead let the angry people of this world that are that are fighting and rioting and whatever they do disowning you harming you people that are hurtful they're dead it doesn't mean they're hopeless because as you know

even the dead can rise again so whether it's you believe in lifetimes or whatever other you know belief you might have it's uh it's an amazing concept let the dead bury the dead so people that act dead spiritually is what it means people that are psychologically for lack of a better word i'm going to use this word hopeless and i don't mean they're spiritually literally hopeless the ones that act hopeless the ones that no matter what you say or do they do not get you let the dead bury the dead but let the

living be alive the opposite let the living come to life let the living be alive let the dead bury the dead means let your past deal with your past let your ego go let low self-worth let all the people that ever hurt you and affected you currently and i i mean they hurt you in the past but or present but are currently you know it's having a current effect in your life let those people deal with what they did let the dead bury the dead give them i don't mean literally you tell them this verbally but symbolically prayerfully meditatively

give them your hurt my hurt is the dead part of me they're like executioners fine take it here's my hurt have it bye-bye let the dead bury the dead let them go let people that are not awake people that have no interest in being awake people that don't want to live learn grow heal they're they're metaphorically they're dead let them deal with each other let them hate other people that can react to them and be part of their game but what about the opposite let the living be alive where's your new

self after healing where's the living part of you where's the the god part that i am presence the the christ self where is that let that come to life really hear this i'm i'm sometimes more you know subdued or casual in the way i'm talking just depends what's happening at the moment and what type of topic but this feels so passionate and i just thought about talking about this but it feels so passionate because think about this for a moment constantly consistently persistently people live as though dead people have

any relevance in their life spiritually dead people so but that's what they're gonna do they're they're going to hate they're going to disavow they're going to try to discredit you people that gossip for example let the dead bury the dead they're dead if they're gossiping if they're hurting they're hating let them let them bury the dead i know people who say a couple of sessions i had just a couple of my sessions this week family issues where where michael i don't know what to do

you know my children after a divorce adult children young children but let's say adult children in this case have sort of sided with their parent their dad their mom either either one but they sided with the other parent why you know what the most common reason is sometimes they feel sorry for them sympathy and all but the most common reason who has the money who has the security they don't want to you know disconnect from the pocketbook that can hand them the money and i'm not telling you that all x's are

wrong or bad i'm saying when money is involved all too often adult children will side more often honestly more often than not a huge majority of the time it's with the parent that's got the money i'm not talking about children my example right now is adult children adult children not little ones and they go and they side with where the money is what happens is i don't care if you're my mom or my dad i'm gonna go where the fun is this person can buy me a car this person can support me

if i need something you know the other one has this vibe of failure they're the one that didn't get as much money in the divorce or have as much money overall that other one you know they don't have an inheritance coming so yeah you know i'm kind of choosing what is it it's called a business decision who cares it's your mom or dad or that they have feelings you're going to just make a business decision is that respectable no it absolutely is not but you know what it is it's the living

dead those who look alive they seem alive they seem to be able to make adult decisions but they're not making adult decisions depending on what you want to call adult not spiritually or psychologically adult in terms of age they might be adults but they're not making healthy spiritually mature decisions so it's kind of tragic my heart goes out to you because i know several of you watching today this applies to you and i'm you know i'm really sorry that that's happened your job is to say i'm not the failure the one

that came out behind the one they voted against chose against that's an identity i took on dang it's like they decided to write what's on my epitaph or or my tombstone here lies nobody they had nothing gave nothing they just amounted to nothing on the other hand someone heard the rumor as they entered the graveyard or left the graveyard to read this epitaph or this gravestone and they said but did you know their ex oh yeah very successful kids went with them oh and people are just going to kind of go

that direction they're going to take the bait do not take the bait for yourself let the dead bury the dead means free at last free at last thank god almighty i'm free at last god i'm resurrecting this conversation is like christ saying lazarus come forth get up what are you sleeping for you know there's work to be done oh well i'm dead lord no no more guys get up do not engage in gossip do not engage in hate do not engage in self-abuse in forms like letting hurts get the best of you dead people you know what dead people

are after they're dead they're ghosts they're spirits if they rise to higher realms they're ghosts if they're trapped on earth people that have ever hurt you are ghosts memories of hurts in your life are ghosts why do i say they're ghosts because they're not alive and they're not ascended to higher realms therefore by default their ghosts your memories your feelings your opinions of yourself your identity your value those are ghosts oh my god i've been letting the dead control the

living that makes no sense but they speak so loudly yes they do so with such conviction persistence and yes they do still doesn't make them true they're still dead it's a ghost haunting you but it's just a ghost you're alive the real things we call ghosts those things of the astral and physical realm one of the things that most often traps them in a realm they don't belong in is because they envy the living they fear what awaits them you know why because a lot of people don't know what's waiting for them

so they fear the unknown the living do know i don't mean mortally speaking i'm talking about awake to any degree spiritually psychologically you should know what's waiting awaiting you god everything all oneness peace joy abundance let the living be alive so as i'm coming towards a close think about this let the living be alive am i one of those does that include me well i'm not totally perfectly spiritually awakened but can it apply if i'm not it might say to yourself so if it does apply

you know wow where do i go with that well it means i have value where do i go with that i guess i'm going to start listening listening to a different voice i'm going to hear the spirit of god instead of the ghost of the dead the ghost of the past the ghost of the no longer here instead i'm ready to let the living be alive oh every cell of my body is alive because i said so because i believe in god and that god dwells within me how could my self be dead if god dwells within me and those who do not know god dwells within

them are by default dead and so i'm choosing to be alive to be alive i have to be in touch with the source of life which would be god okay i am the light of god i am the love of god made manifest here i am and i'm alive some days i have felt dead i being any of us some days i feel kind of half and half but you know what the world is worsening at an alarming rate said jesus to the scribe of a course in miracles and something has to be done so at this time i'm choosing life from here on i call on inspiration

every day when i wake up every night when i go to sleep i ask for the divine mother the holy spirit of god to be my guide my teacher my healer my source of everything i can use accountants for bookkeeping i can use spiritual teachers for you know advice or teaching i can use counselors for feedback and support i can use friends to be friendly and friendship you know have friendship you can use anybody as a resource of something but god is the source of all good lots of things can be good as a resource but they're not your source

so i give thanks that god is and that it reflects in so many different things in my life i am alive i no longer choose to be haunted by that which is no longer here by people that are no longer here you absolutely have my love and respect and i would love for you to be alive it would be great come back to life no more hate no more gossip but come back to life would you like to party celebrate that we're living let's do it celebrate in god celebrate in love celebrate in the truth of who we are but i don't have time you can say to the

world to yourself your own ego i don't have time to be dead i don't have time i hear the voice of christ saying lazarus come forth and i'm going to do it i'm going to do it i'm just going to step out and come to life it's got to be good and it's got to be better than living amongst the dead so thank you for your time today and i pray that you allow this to really sink in so beautiful to see the contrast of these two worlds and one of which most people on earth choose the dead how strange but don't be one of
